Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage freight effectively. Loading and delivering Nova Scotia, NB, PE, Ontario and NFLD.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport freight to various destinations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel use, and delivery times.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding routes and schedules.
  • Ensure that all cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations related to commercial driving.
  • Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle as needed.

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in freight transportation or logistics is preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts and other heavy equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle safety protocols and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) as required during loading/unloading processes.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
  • A commitment to safety and adherence to all company policies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.68-$21.88 per hour
